Information about Copyright in Malta
In the EU intellectual property does not have to be registered to fall under copyright, but is automatically considered so on creation.
A work is considered to be under copyright unless otherwise specified.
Text-based work:
For general purposes, EU law regarding text copyright is: Life of author + 70 years.
Images:
Images can be used either under a paid license, or by using images that are free from copyright.
Free-to-use images are usually either under Creative Commons or Public Domain.
AI generated images are generally not considered to be intellectual property and are not copyrightable.
